Who would've thought that a cheese grater could be pretty?!

This is nice. I would like to see the dof adjusted so that the foreground is in focus.

I can't decide it the houses behind the spindles are adding anything to this shot. I would play with dof to see the differences. You might end up losing the stark beauty of the railings.

Other than stacking, I don't see a discernable pattern here. Unless it is the ridges along the sides of the stacks, and if that is the case, then this shot is too dark. Sorry.

Too much editing for my taste. Orchards are simple places and even in storms, they aren't that forboding, imo.

I like this alot. I would suggest sepia instead of b&w. Too me, sepia adds a dimension of "oldness" or "antiqueness."

Adding the knife, not only added interest, but the colors of the reflection are intensified.

Comment:
You might think I'm crazy here, but the symmetry of the shell almost dictates a symmetry of shot. You've got the cropping right, but the shell is placed asymmetrically within it. A slight twist to the right and you've got a perfect star, a perfect shell, perfect coloring and perfect cropping.

Ramen noodles before cooking. So simple, so tasty! I think there is a humor here that others might miss. I, however, am grinning ear to ear and now I am hungry.
