Spare Parts?by kavamamaComment: Bravo. Attractive enough, but what made this a winner for me was the sheer novelty of the concept. I like the idea of a person as a puzzle! (I also like the fact that you played fast and loose with either two puzzles or a double shot of yourself - the eyes in the upper right corner are nicely positioned and it took me a while to realize that with a third eye in the lower left, something was weird....) |

Dark Eyesby AnnidaComment: I like the way you framed this shot - the angle works with the lighting to make it nicely dramatic. Beautiful! |

Self Enlightenment by jerrftComment: Nice, nice effect. Especially like the weird and interesting colors that the shot made out of your face, against the shadows/coolness of the background. |

Bad Hair Dayby MystiComment: I like the very literal use of framing in this picture. :) |

indecisionby dan-oComment: In most circumstances, including some of my own recent photos, I consider blurriness and washed-out looks a flaw. Not here - it goes well with your title/theme and is mild enough to work as a stylistic element - a nice photograph. |

Steamed Upby RiderGalComment: I like the composition on this one...the light source is a bit too harsh and washes out the top of your head a bit too much, though, even for the "steam" look. |

Nice to Meet Youby K-RobComment: The off-center nature of the photo almost works for me, but cutting off the left eye is too much of a disconnect - it "feels" wrong to have the face truncate there. I'd like to see more of the face in the picture, a bit of blank black space to the right, but not as much as now.
Really nice lighting on this one. |

Inadvertent Collageby eloiseComment: *grins* Art in the office indeed - very pretty. The photo has a nice weight/layout. (And I love the butterfly, totally apart from its role in the photo.) |

But you can stay and play a while...by qachykComment: I like this. You had a real challenge going for you with the focus, which others have noted. A chair, table, or rail to steady your elbows on might have helped, if movement during the shot was the problem (happens to me a lot with my camera, I fear).
You might also try the shot again, with the curtain on the window as your right edge - and not the last inch of it, either. It will cut off part of your subject but I suspect it would address the glare.
The oh-so-serious sign is hysterical next to the whimsy of the toy behind it! |

Real Simpleby basia03Comment: Nice - I like how stark this is, and the use of white on white. The edges of the plants are almost too sharp, but it makes a nice, lacy effect in this context. (Was that a sharp filter, or just a really good mingling of lighting and subject?) |
