My reason for living...by tp-fcpComment: This is a lovely soft, colourful portrait. The lighting is superb and plays well against the clean black background. Did you use the tools available in the digital darkroom to achieve the skin texture? However achieved, it is a very attractive portrait. |

Into The Nightby garrywhite2Comment: You need a well set up monitor to appreciate this to the full - very mysterious and a good capture. cropping to left of the face would work OK too. |

J.A., Contractorby jjbeguinComment: This is a great demonstration of the use of low key to produce an effective portrait - good compositional balance too. |

Exfoliatedby dsa157Comment: That is a challenging look! Gentle soft lighting, gentle soft tones, works well in black and white. |

Young Loveby YomiComment: Great synchronised smiles, gently lit, all in focus, a nice capture of an attractive couple who could make you belive the title. |

Brandonby nsoroma79Comment: Ah, it isn't a black and white study! Well, the eyes made me look again and again, so you achieved an important effect. Like the subtle lighting, although it is a pity that his right cheeck appears to be just blown out - maybe a bit of tissue over the light - but an effective portrait anyway. |

Reflection of a Portraitby NazgulComment: Very mysterious and engaging - a neat idea. The hand wipe to provide balance and an explanation is very clever. The limited colour tones works well too. |

As Himselfby davidbedardComment: Good black and white portrait - well removed from the background. Pehaps some work on the texture on the bottom right hand corner might improve. The almost symmetrical crop against the asymmetrical pose works well. |

Untitledby andywightmanComment: Lovely apple cheeks and smile, deligtfully captured. The hair blowing in the wind adds a nice touch of movement. Maybe a crop to reduce the space on the left while retaing the assymetry would work too? |

A Tough Lifeby heidaComment: Good use of the background to reinforce the message - sepia works well too. Good use of low key lighting in this moody portrait. |
