Pizza Time!by FourPointXComment: Wow now here's an idea for you. The Black works well here with the colours. Floor is a bit distracting but you cant do much about that. Nice artwork.
Pizza cutter would have been nice as well :) |

Finishing touchby hajekaComment: Lovely shot. Comp works and like the washed out background/whites complementing the pink here. Not sure about the chalk itself and would love to have seen this more contrasted and darker in colour. Small nit. |

just breathe by bspurgeonComment: Impact shot that has what it takes. On the tumb it's not impressive, but opening it up it really hits you square in the face with the sun and the clouds. Congrats here. |

Gateway to the West by Anthony_D_ArcherComment: Hey Anthony. Congrats on a very good shot here. Beautifully executed and certainly has made me see this monument (shot to death) in a new light. Ribbon is just a bonus. |

Fenceby AmmieComment: Of course I recognise this scene and must admit it's not nice seeing this and knwowing Im on Pretoria when there are places like this to be enjoyed. I know you have a tripod so can only assume it was on purpose that you intentionally wanted the fence to be out of focus? This is the only part of the scene that breaks it down a bit. The fence is the most important part of this pic (as this is wheer the story begins comp wise)which leads my eye into the scene to the left. I feel this should have been in focus. The ridge line then takes my eye to the right. The monotony of this line is broken by the trees which works great. End up in the farm lands below where one can only naturally flow into the Layering mountains achieved here with the some nice light from the front. In Autumn this exact same scene would work even better with the orange yellow leaves of the trees that would be reflecting light and kick some life into the foreground the same way the grass is doing currently. Love this.
En dalk sal Bees nou se ek gee punte vir my maaitjie maar hy is verkeerd. Ek doen nie "flattery" nie but except for the out of focus fence (which is also Im sure a matter of taste) I absolutely love this scene. 8
Groete aan Bees en Patrys |

Stareby Silent-ShooterComment: I love this image for the the eyes that speaks. What helps this tremendously is the lines in the comp. You have the oval tilted head to the left and inside the oval the subtle triangle formed by the hairline and material covering her face. You have to go back to her eyes after tracing these lines...yet the frames goes down further below where there is more to be seen and for my taste, thats where I lose interest a bit. Although the darker shaded areas in the material helps to form other lines of interest it needs to be a bit tighter from bottom up. Im not sure about the processing on the nose or is it lighting
One other thing that has me wondering is the material covering her mouth and I dont know if it's my imagination but I can make out some teeth behind it through the holes. This looks odd. I could be wrong on this?
Processing in general is great and could not have done better myself. After having nit picked your image...I hope you will forgive me for overanalising an already great photo 7 |
