I really like the lighting in this and the colour spread to the foam thereby, as well as the tons of little bubbles. My one nit might be the bubbles represent 'gas' more than they do 'liquid', though I get the 'liquid' feel from it anyhow.

Although this is a very nice shot overall, very attractive, and I agree that nail polish constitutes a 'liquid', the focus seems to be "pretty woman's foot and shoe", and not "liquid", so in terms of a challenge entry it loses a bit. I do like the use of tone in this quite a lot.

Due to the very close-up shot this ends up too busy with lime, straw, and ice drawing the eye from the liquid. I also think a bit more distance or coming in from a bit higher would have been more attractive; there's this refraction thing going on with the lime that is a bit eye-watering for me.

I realize people prefer to set up shots like this with no visible human intervention but it looks a bit odd to me like the pitcher is suspended in mid-air rather than being poured. I think with more of a tilt downwards this impression would be reduced without introducing the hand. I also personally would not have minded the hand showing.

I like the choice of mug/pitcher in terms of their attractiveness, and the pale but slightly patterned (if only by shadow) background, and the contrast between them. The concept is sound. There's maybe a little too much negative space below the cup to balance the top out well.

I think I would have preferred the focus reversed -- sharp on the foreground, blurred on the back, that is. This version is rather distracting, since the focus is on the man but the eyes keep getting drawn to the blurry, bright yellow whic hI presume is another glass of liquid -- not even positive of that due to the amount of blur, just guessing from topic and title.

Blurred glass rim is very distracting. Either a different focal point or a different angle to avoid this would have been better. The fade into bright light that eradicates the straw looks a bit odd, like that half of the glass just doesn't exist, which is a little disconcerting. I think the choice of angle was a good thought, it just didn't quite work for me.

Hah, excellent idea. Unfortunately, this more concentrates on the gaseous element than the liqiud one, but I will concede it is not OFF-topic.

I think a bit more focus on the glass and flame would have been better. You could have set it up so the lighter fluid container was still partially visible and let us realize what it was; giving it equal time detracts a bit. Maybe by setting it back a few inches and moving the angle slightly?

Mustard and ketchup, one presumes? How long did it take you to set this up? You have far more dedication than I do. :)

It's a very neat idea. Er, make that a very messy one. Er. You know. I hope. The whole shot concentrates on the liquid, which has been unusual this round, so that's a plus. I'm not a big fan of abstracty stuff, which this is, but that's personal taste and you can't really account for that.

It just seems out of place, unfortunately. It's one of those things where I like the hsot of the water and hills (though it's a bit bright to the left) and I like the closeup of the cup in the grass but when you put the two together it doesn't work for me, kinda like I like potatoes and I like mayonnaise but I hate potato salad.

Well, the lighting seems a little bright but I actually like the pattern it makes in the liquid, so only a 'little' bright. I like the framing. The background is very slightly distracting but I don't know you could have done much with that.
