Ketchupby marboComment: Er, hrm. I don't know what it is but the sausages end up looking really unappealing in this shot. I like the idea, it's the whole congealed-grease thing that detracts. |

tea timeby apriceComment: Oo, very nice shot. Very nice subject -- much prettier a french press than I have, that's for sure -- and good setup, with the plant in the background to break up what might otherwise be a little too homogenous a colour scheme. I like the lighting on this, and the composition in general. |

Blue on Blackby inspzilComment: Kind of cool, a little strange, though. Is that milk? Nice lighting. |

my cough syrupby shadowComment: Very clinical and ominous. I wish you'd not included the border as it's distracting. The lighting goes with the clinical setting but feels a bit bright on the left. |

Gold Essenceby basia03Comment: Oh, hey, neat. I don't think I've seen any other bath products, so so far it's more original than many of the shots, and I like the shot of gold floating in the bath oil, and the tilt of the bottle. It'd make a good ad shot. |

"Ahhh... Butter "by tfarrell23Comment: Mmm. Popcorn.
I don't know. The shot makes me hungry, that suggests it's at least a good shot of popcorn, but it's not really the world's most interesting topic. Plus for being on topic and the butter being seriously visible. |

On the Rocksby dphillipsComment: Nice creamy/foamy effect, and I like the way the liquid comes off the ice. Maybe a bit too much ice -- 'on the rocks' doesn't have to mean 'completely full of ice cubes', and it means we get to see less liquid. The folds in the backdrop are slightly distracting. |

Blow your topby dan_pendletonComment: Hehe. Nice shot, I really like the setup, the basic composition, and the moment of capture. I really don't like the backdrop colour, I'm afraid; it's a good contrast to the liquid colour but it's extremely bright and somewhat jarring, and not really on my favorite list of colours anyhow. I'm wondering if you could have acheived as good a contrast with something a little less well-lit or a little less saturated in terms of colour... well, it's a trade-off, maybe. Still, excellent overall.
I'm assuming it's inadvertant you have an eye-nose-eye shape in the mixer's foundation, but you do, which is kinda neat. |

Mercury Meniscusby GeneralEComment: I agree your photo contains liquid. But when I look at it, I think, "Blood pressure", not "liquid", in other words, I have to work to make it on topic in my head. it was an interesting idea, and you're the second person who has sent me to a dictionary to look up part of what their title meant, so I learned something from it. |

Chemical cocktail by bosniakComment: Refraction on the test tube is very startling. Interesting idea but I honestly think I would have liked it better without the test tube. |
