"Don't worry, be happy..."by blancericComment: Lovely shot, I wish I could see the face of the performer on the left though. Very effective dof which has blurred cluttered background. |

Freckles and the Fluteby LN13Comment: Beautiful shot with shallow dof. Nice lighting. Doesn't give me much of a sense of 'Live Music' though. |

Paradeby louisdvComment: Looks like a snapshot. There are many interesting possibilities in a shot like this... such as lying on the floor as they walk past, or getting loads of sticks together with shallow dof if shooting from the side. This is unimaginative. The pole growing out of the leader's head is the icing on the cake. |

Music is Lifeby vicksterComment: Not a fan of onboard flash which is not flattering to old hands and gives a shadow next to the hands which makes this look like a snapshot. I can't understand your decision to desaturate except for blue. Why?! |

Aquaman Liveby alanfreedComment: Great moment, shame the mic is a bit OOF. He does look ridiculous though! |

support your local singerby irishempressComment: Great moment, but not convinced by the composition. Her thumb is chopped off, and I don't like seeing only part of a (flying V?) guitar. More sense of context would be great. What would work better for me here is landscape orientation with the faces/torsos at the left of the frame with the guitar taking up the right part of the frame. |

mike of triptiiby petrakkaComment: Love the wideangle, but I'd have laid down on the floor and got him from nearer his feet. I have nothing against grain, but I'm not so keen on the quality of it here which doesn't feel like film grain. Surely this guy wouldn't have minded some flash? If you have stuff with words on in the background, make sure you include the whole word. Not convinced by half a bass player at the edge of your shot. |

Lone Fiddlerby JeremyFleuryComment: Foreground (and background) is too cluttered. I think this shot could have been much more effective from a different angle with some people passing by. |

the piano manby yomanComment: Keys need to be in focus for this shot to work. Not enough sense of context for me to feel that this is 'live'. |

"Not many in again tonight, Doreen"by mrr1Comment: Poor band. I'd have been tempted to get on the edge of the stage with the band, and shown the band at the edge of the shot in wide angle playing to an empty bar. The shot feels a bit tilted to me. Composition is too cluttered with no clear focal point. |
