Taking Noteby codauberComment: If I were playing live music and a photographer was that close, I'd tell them to get lost. The light has given unappealing shadows on the wood from the keys. The wood isn't flattered by the quality of the light. The shot doesn't give much of a sense of mood or atmosphere, a good music shot reflects the quality of the music being performed. |

Live at Red Eyesby callanComment: A lovely moment, but looks a bit like a snapshot. The elbow of the guy on the right really spoils the shot. There's just too much happening here for the eye to settle. The guy who's singing should really be the main subject, but his hand has been chopped off here, and he doesn't have an important place within the shot. |

Flower musicby julesdvComment: Must be very uncomfortable for the musicians! Unfortunately my attention keeps being drawn to the chap standing at the front who has some foliage obstructing his face. It's a huge shame about the burnt out sky. I have to say that I think the shot would have worked much better zooming into the musicians in the foliage, which would have emphasised how packed in they are there. |

Locally Delivered Sound.by RinkRatComment: Interesting shot, but I feel the composition lets it down. It feels like you just tried to fill the frame with everything that was needed without considering whether it felt balanced or not. Could do with a little more contrast. |

Ninety And Cookin'by lshlesComment: Photo doesn't convey much of a sense of 'cookin''. I feel the dof should have extended to both hands, or been much shallower to say one finger. Range of tones doesn't work for me, there are burnt out highlights and not much shadow detail. This would work well as a study of light and shadow, but it's not succeeded on that level here. |

Mom plays at her favorite venueby digidoriComment: Doesn't communicate live music to me. Onboard flash has resulted in unappealing shadows and glare off the floor. Also, head has unattractive glare. Toes and headstock are chopped off. Use of flash has given no sense of atmosphere and mood. |

In the zoneby xylkeComment: Composition is all over the place, not sure what we're meant to be focusing on. Bassist looking out of the frame leads viewer's eye out of the photo. I'm missing the headstock on the bass. Placement of subjects in photo feels very unbalanced. |

Pretty In Pinkby funkinComment: Gamma seems a bit high. I would have tried to get him at a better angle so his eyes were clearer. Certainly interesting attire. |
