Translucent Beautyby brownsmComment: without contrasting tones, the threshold between the flowers and the background needs to be -sharp-, which it isn't. USM would be very effective here. |

Grassy Waters Preserve by senor_kasperComment: nice IR shot. the whites are a little too blue for my taste. i always have luck getting pure whites in IR by using a selective color layer, and under the blues/cyans, dropping the yellow value to zero and pushing up the magenta a tad. curves will also do the trick.--7 |

schlicht und einfachby bubeltrubelComment: A nice picture, of a feather, with a slight reflection underneath. This must be Irene. It isn't quite as sharp as I would like, but that's probably because it's a fuzzy feather.
Schlicht und einfach, indeed :) |

Rocks acidby MelethiaComment: I love this edit. It looks like a color Lith process with the harsh highlights and shadows, and is very dramatic |

The Growing Dawnby DrAchooComment: Wow! This is a 10 from me and easy top three. I envy anyone who can get such amazing and smooth tones from a sunrise. |

Homeward Gullsby Bear_MusicComment: Great colors--the clouds look like something I would see in a painting. Its a nice effect. |

Which way up?by SaswaaComment: It looks great, but I think some more tonemaping/maybe a single capture HDR would really bring out the range of contrast on the metal. |
