It looks like your camera might have exposed for the hillside because the water is a bit blown out. But the location is killer for this challenge. If you could have pulled off a good exposure along with some minimal contrast and saturation adjustments, this would have been in the top 10.

The angle seems like it was snapshot. More details in his face would have been nice to see. The heavy vignette is a bit, well, too heavy for the composition of the horse.

There's a lot going on here. Maybe a slightly different angle with less people walking in it or a wider aperture to blur them out would have made this pop a little more.

The crop is a bit too tight to his head. It needs a little more breathing room. I might have also cropped out his cover on his back and focused more on his head and neck.
