I really like this image and idea for the challenge. I only wish it was on a darker background so the whites of the candy didn't get washed out. I love the sprig of peppermint also. Excellent composition.

I really like your idea here. The only thing I can suggest is maybe try this using a black background? I think the yellow background blends too much with your subjects.

I imagine the smell of burning leaves is what this image portrays. In the Phoenix area we don't really have falling leaves or the need to get rid of them... is that what you do? I always pictured lots of garbage bags full of leaves :-) Your light is a bit harsh on the leaves and takes out some detail of the color. I do like the capture of smoke.

A very good idea, and a great looking red pepper! Your lighting is too harsh though, especially with a white background and white garlic. It might have been better with a black background? The white, red and silver would have stood out more I think.
