i don't think it's a bad photo and the scene is very touching and candid. i like how the page is in the middle of being turned. i kind of like the grain but overall have mixed feelings about how it has affected the photo

i really like the sign and the junk in the background and b&w was a perfect choice. there's something i don't like, but, to be honest, i'm not sure what it is. i think it's the not quite in focus of the 'junk' and some of the branches while other branches look squiggly sharp. i think the composition is really good, though.

i'm not sure what i can add. i gave it a 7 and i love it, too. it is different, though, which is one of the reasons i liked it, but maybe not an overall popular processing style. the reflections and the shadow make it really great. i wonder how it would look, if the water were more it's regular color like the pelican is

i like the positioning of the ducks (and their reflections) and they seem to both have their attention focused on the same thing. i think their heads look a little oversharp, though. the frame is hard to see and i wish it just wasn't there, but i love the colours of the water.

you always take great photos. i don't really know what i could say that would help you. i like the gradient of light. it all looks very natural. i can't tell that you dodged and burned.

i'm not sure why it didn't do so well. it's very sharp and clear with the hint of movement in the tail. maybe brightening the white dog? and maybe more open space above. i like how it makes you wonder what he's looking at.
