Greetings from the CC! While I think this image has a few technical problems perhaps what I really like is that it captures the tension and the action, which I think is what a PJ shot should do. I really like the movement in the pitcher's leg. And the stance of the 1st baseman. What I think may have halped your image a little may have been to crop it more like a panorama, at least cropping out a good part of the car in the background and perhaps taking a bit then off the bottom to balance it out, I think this may give you a little bit more of a focus on your subjects. I also think using B&W (aside from the it is a PJ shot) was a good choice because there is so much going on in this shot you do not want the distraction of the colors to get int the way of your main subjects. Overall I think it is a good shot.
Keep shooting!

Greetings from the CC. What could I possibly complain about this wonderful portrait! Certainly an excellent choice of subjects, for a woman who clearly has many stories to tell. She has character and interest and an exotic feel to her. The skin tones are good, sharp image, clear composition. I really do not know what else to add, except very well done and congrats on your great finish! Lovely image!

Greetings from the CC. I think you have managed a good range of tones in the black and white. The angle of the composition draws your attention into the photograph. I suspect there may be some marketing possibilities with this kind of shot, but my biggest criticism would be (sorry) but it is a boring subject. It lacks wow factor as they say in my opinion. It does not really compel me. As I said I think if your goal is to produce a stock type photo you may have done that. Critiques become difficult when you do not know the objective of the photographer. Hope that helps. Happy Shooting

Greetings from the CC, well this sky is beautiful, great light. The mountain in the background serves a great place for your eye to rest, after you haave been pulled towards it by the tractor lines in the field and the fence line.
My biggest criticism would be that your horizon is crooked and needs to be rotated slightly to the right. I may have cropped a tiny bit off the bottom not so much as to lose the lines but just to take the horizon line down a bit more. Overall a beautiful shot, with lovely light. Congrats on your well placed finish.

Greetings from the CC. Pro's about your shot: I like the light on the sail. I like that the guy is looking at the camera (tho having sailed ya gotta keep your eye on that boom). I like the shades of blue. Horizon is straight, and not in the middle of the shot. What I think could move it from a good shot to a perhaps better shot would be maybe dodging the womans face so that you can see a bit more detail, both face and body, she is where all the action is. Yet cuz she is shadowed so much we miss it, could also put a lighting effect on her perhaps? Would of also been a bit more dramatic if there was a little more wind and bit more wave at bow of the boat. (tho weather conditions are a bit out of your control : ) )

Hope that helps. HAppy Shooting keep up the good effort!

Greetings from the CC, Looks like this shot was taken in bright sunlight, which to me says you did a really good job controlling the highlights, even tho there are a few, and you could dodge them, but overall well controlled i think. You also did a great job highlighting your subjects with lots of stuff going on, despite there are so many people in the photo as a viewer I am still focused on the subject. I think your choice of B& W really helps with this also , minimizing the colors to help the viewer stay focused.

Photo is sharp and clear. Also a positive is that despite the hats you have managed to not lose details in there faces because of shadows. A very good shot I would say. I am sorry that I have so little to critisize, but it is a very good shot, on topic too.

Happy Shooting! Keep up the good work!

my fav shot so far, but would have benefited greatly from rotating image to the right so that it does not look like it is sliding off a hill so much.

Greetings from the CC, well I am a bit stumped as to how to critique this shot, as I do not particularly like the negative images. (not just yours I do not like the style) But I will try and give you some feedback. I would of cropped out the right side of the image about 1/3 way up is I think a foot. I also would try to have the main focus on the kids faces vs. on the ball. It would also have been nice if the background of the shot (at top) was grass vs. fence, helping to focus one's attn on the subject. Overall an ok shot, I am not sure that the technique of negative really enhances this photo. (but I am not sure that it enhances many shots for that matter)

Please feel free to post this in forum for some feedback from someone who is into the negative image shots.
Sorry was not much help on this one.
