Nice concept - it expresses the challenge subject well. Perhaps a location that didn't have the lights in the foreground would be better. Also, getting some more exposure into the foreground might make it pop as a transitional subject more - really highlight that change from light to dark.

Simple, elegant, sharp, and nice highlights in the eyes. Great stuff!

I love the concept for this shot. Perhaps a little play with some different gels on your flash or with your white balance could have yielded a more 'moody' image, but this is still a great interpretation of the subject.

Nice lighting, but this looks either out of focus or like a very tight crop. Good idea though.

Nice lighting idea, though I think it would have benefitted from moving the rope away from the background and hitting it with a second light of it's own. Personally I would have had the light fall off even more as the ropes dissapear out of frame, too. Possibly some white balance issues? Nice picture though, and great interpretation of the subject.

This is a good subject. But I think to really get the message accross you need to have something in the frame to locate him. It's corny, but something like a flag or a recognisable geographic or architectural feature will make your message pop out naturally.

Good lighting, and you have a story in the picture hear (it asks a question). Nice work.

Nice subject, but I think your composition could be better. Perhaps widening or cropping the frame would help reveal a bit more story.

Hehe... Good one. Perhaps moving the ball further to the right to make it more of a thirds picture would give a bit more drama.

Great capture of expression. Perhaps some moodier lighting (or playing with shutter speed) would make this pop a little more? Like it, though!
