Irish Countiesby AliciaComment: Wow, you've really captured the energy and concentration in this shot, well done. Did you use AF on this? I ask because my autofocus was a pain in low-light when I used the 50mm with my old 350D. I don't know if the focus is locked on the back wall but he could be sharper - you probably could have got away with boosting the ISO on this. |

What do Eyes See?by ShrinkComment: At first I thought this was another boring 'blank' expression but there's definitely an enigma to this man's expression, and the artwork to the left heightens this. I definitely think you could crop more bravely and lose some of the uninteresting background on the left. Good shot. |

blues by IsabellSchatzComment: Good composition - but for my taste the lighting is all a bit flat (and bright) on the face. The choice of blues for the shirt and background is a very strong one, however. Technically it's a good portrait but for me it fails to establish any emotional connection with the viewer. |

On The Cruelty Of Manby Adian00Comment: Crude and uncompromising. Very different and it's going to take a lot of people aback, though not necessarily in a good way. A very brave and bold entry - thanks for submitting! |

Angusby FirstyComment: A very sharp and clean-looking shot. Your high key is almost really well controlled but I fear the overall effect is one of over-exposure at the expense of the subject's complexion. I'd like to see a little more in the expression as well. |
