I like the amount of zoom you chose here. You captured alot of detail and I believe has more appeal than just a picture of a moth. What might of helped is just a slight different vantage point to show more of the face.

If I could have voted I probably would have given it a 7 or 8.

The bottom right looks like a hedgehog. The texture captured in the bottom third is well done but the bright spot in the top third is distracting. Even if this were cropped out the image would probably still be balanced. The curved line in the middle is a nice touch.

The water pump in your image has a lot of character. The watering cans in the foreground take away from this. Did you try shots of just the water pump? Sepia or B/W could probably be used quite affectively here.

You've picked a difficult situation to photograph, black subject in very bright light. In order to capture enough detail in the dog you need to expose a little bit more but in doing so you would blow out the bright areas which are already somewhat overexposed. To try and correct this you might try using a diffuser.

The leading line of the waterfall and the curved edges of the pond project a nice relaxed mood.

There seems to be a colour cast (magenta?) on this image. In camera I couldn't tell you how to fix this other than play with the white balance. In post processing you could adjust the colour balance slightly more towards green (opposite of magenta).

Mr. Hush Puppie is overexposed. There's no detail in the white areas.

Interesting. Good use of the diagonal and offcenter subject. A little more exposure would give more emphasis to the detail in the clothespins.
