You've photographed it well, although I don't quite get it.

I'm sort of imagining a child being told the word "disarmament" and this is what they think it means. Am I close?

Nice idea, I think I'd suggest a little more DOF so you can see the food. Then again, maybe that's not such a good idea after all ;-)

I'm not sure I like the pp effect you've gone for. I might have suggested cloning out the picture frame (I'm assuming that's what that is) also. Nice idea though.
