Mount Dallasby crabappl3Comment: I think this is really cleverly named! What a great shot with magnificent colour! |

Colors of Peaceby pclongComment: I adore the perspective on this field of flowers (water lilies?), but as my eyes are lead to the top of the picture, I find there is no "focal point" to the composition..not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just not sure which part of the whole should be the main point of interest. I enjoy the DOF though, I like that the back flowers are in focus, and the lighting creates the feel that the flowers are "endless" as they fade off into the darkness. |

Loves Me, Loves Me Not...by KazComment: The pulled petals really bring the story of the shot together. Lovely composition, but the white is too bright. It almost hurts to look at the shot. I like the lighting/exposure on the flower itself though. |

Naturaly Boldby HoogieComment: great choice of contrasting colours, and I love the focus. Its a bit soft near the tips of the bottom petals, but it works! I also like that you included that purple flower/bud to the right,it gives the picture lots of character. I wonder if it would have been too distracting to have the whole bud in the shot? |

mike in black & whiteby johnny_justjohnnyComment: compositionally, it has some interesting characteristics, but the picture doesn't leap out at me. I also wish that there was a cogent emphasis on colour, just to meet the challenge requirements. Focus and lighting are great though! |

Pin Wheelby DavenitComment: absolutely brilliant colours! The border is a tad thick -- it distracts some from your subject. I like that the focus is on the centre of the flower, and that you decided not to have the flower directly in the centre of the shot. A slightly more even crop (maybe taking the same off each side that is being cut off or a little less off the top?) might have emphasized the range of colours and improved the composition, but what do I know? I'm just throwing out some ideas for improvement. |

Cobalt Ripplesby magnusComment: A tad tiled, and the focus seems to be centered at the top, but a slightly greater DOF would have allowed the whole subject (vase?) be in focus and bearing its detail! lovely shot, nonetheless! |

Painted Doorby ndsComment: slightly oversharp or maybe overexposed? (there is a strange glare off some of the sides of the thicker strokes of paint) but good colour. |

God's Masterpieceby the generalComment: sunsets can be pretty cliche, but you did a good job of capturing the colours and leaving the landscape as a silhouette. The tree looks like its reaching to touch the sky! |

Blueby CoopGirlComment: that's a wicked shadow being cast along the bottom of the photo, it completely ruins the effect I think you are trying to achieve. As well, the entire shot is out of focus, and composition would be improved if the shot were straighter and shot from more toward the right. Keep trying though! |
