I love the detail. Maybe I don't have enough imagination, but I can't tell if you're seeing a face in the whole splash or in the solid water part of it on the bottom. I can sort of imagine a face in both. The B&W conversion works well here, though I usually don't care for B&W in seascapes. I promise to start posting mine soon.

I like the color saturation on this series. I see "Smog Check" all the time. Is it just a California thing? Since it is so common to me I'd like to see it cropped to just the wall with or without the Folsom address or maybe just straight on instead of angled as more of an abstract.

PAW - Beautiful shot, but ominous knowing it's from the wildfires. Have they put them out yet? Is the smoke moon-lit, and if so was it HDR from several exposures?

PAW - I really identified with your first paragraph, since our neighbors complained about our dogs barking during the day, so the past year we've kept them in dog crates all day and I come home at lunch to let them out for a potty break. It looks like you caught him mid-crow in the picture. Then I read the second paragraph and was taken aghast! I guess that's life on a farm. Nice coloring anyway.

PAW - These are the most delicious looking rice cakes I've ever seen. They obviously make them (as well as chocolate) differently in The Netherlands than in the USA. I'd better add Holland to my bucket list.

PAW - Nice head-on shot. Yes, contrast or maybe saturation would help on this if it didn't throw off something else. Maybe just try "Auto levels". You must have a lot of land.
