The DOF makes a ghost of the other flower - a real doppleganger feel. Nice colors, focus. Wish the tip of the in focus flower were in the frame.

Life's a Beach

Simple, elegant - the seagull is a great addition - pulls the elements of the shot together, sky and beach and what's inbetween. It is hard at this resolution to see any detail in the sand or nets... I'd like to see a bigger version, but that's challeneg size, what can you do?

Nice detail, good simple composition. Wish the contrast were better - the white don't seem really white and the blacks don't seem really black. Levels or curves in photoshop would make this image really pop!

This is a lovely shot - I like the honest happy expressions on their faces, the way their heads lean in towards eachother, the light that feels so full of hope. Nicely caught!

Road to....

I love the colors in this shot. I find the composition a bit unsettled - with the road squished into the corner,but that give me a sense of movement - which is appropriate for a road. I would tweek it just a bit - crop our the pole on the right (or close it out) and crop a bit on the right so that the stone wall come right to the corner. Would like to see a little more detail in the shadows too.
