so what?by aznymComment: I had to come back to this photo because it is such a potent image. I'm not on board with your choice of color because it just seems so unrelated to the woman. I would rather this were all B&W, but since this is a selective desat challenge, something has to be in color, right? I think her bags or even her in color might have been a better choice, but that might come off as cheesy.
I originally voted this image a 5 with the intent to revisit it when I finished with the others. I'm not going to let the red sign be a speed bump in this image. It is just too good of a shot to have a "5," but for the challenge, the red sign does detract from the overall in my book. I'm bumping my vote to an 8. |

Colourful Kidsby surfinbirdComment: That is a great sky, but their faces are so gray! With their shirts in color, the gray skin looks kinda nasty, especially on the smaller girl. A higher contrast would have helped here, I think. |

Sun Kissedby SeanachaiComment: Nice touch with the sunlight, but you missed a couple spots in her hair... |

You coloured my worldby SueWComment: I like this. I'm not entirely sure why, either.
...lets see....
The composition is forced. The items in the frame are pretty random and seem totally unrelated to one another. The plant and pot are really dark which gives contrast to the rest of the items, but the contrast of the shot over all could be a bit higher, I think...or even red channel only.
When I fist glanced, I thought that perhaps this was a "cheater," but I quickly realized that this is not a separate capture, but rather a photo of a photo.
And since part of the photo within has been desat'd, I'm pulled even more to see that it is the person within that photo that is the real subject. One would ask why use the photo? Why not the person himself? The use of past tense of the title makes me thing that this person is no longer available for photos. Perhaps a former lover, or even a departed one. Either way, it lends itself to the emotion of image.
I'm struggling with how you composed the image, but the concept behind it is solid. I give just as much credence to concept as I do visual appeal, so I'm still putting you down for an 8 |

Dreamscapeby GiorgioComment: Great color. Matches the mood of the rest of the shot. I'm glad to see it wasn't pushed too bright.

tender careby margiemuComment: Too yellow. The color is just way too over powering. A good bit of detail was lost in the petals. |
