I want to tell you a bit about how I score a photo.. of course, does it meet the challenge.... does it tell a stroy... does it hold my interest?... then I go to the technical parts of it...... let's go to this shot that does not deserve to be in last place...... this shot tells me a story..... an indepth story about a baby that is so loved.... this precious child is smiling..... it is being photographed by ppl who love it..... lovely skin.... good weight... taken care of.... smiling face.... being loved.....could this photo been in sharper focus..... yes. could many of the higher ranking photos be as sensitive, as loving as well composed yep... but they weren't.. they were just better focussed....... almost time for me to leave this site..... be proud of your entry

As I sit here and review all of the submissions in this challenge, including mine, I stand by my score, this is a 10... I would have been proud to have had this photo beat out mine! If I wanted to get very picky... a photo like this does not need a border and the b/g is a tad busy.. but that's it... I love the photos of our elders as much, if not more, than that of our children.

First let me tell you the things that are good in your photo.... crisp focus.. baby anythings are something ppl like to see...ok, saying that, let's look at the things that could use improvement.... the b/g isn't interesting... not the water, not the sand... for me, the title is the only thing that makes this photo meet the challenge... I gave your shot a 5 and I score high especially wildlife as it is my passion.... this was a difficult challenge and there were a lot of excellent photos that met the challenge... I know it's difficult to score low but... get back on the horse and go for it.. you can improve and in time will value the criticism that will help you stretch beyond your horizons.
