Thread Spool Impressionsby imagesbytlpComment: This is certainly using your imagination. If you can't find a rainbow then make one. The use of colours and the crop are nice. Sadly I don't think it will hold up to well against some of the stronger images but it is not about how I feel and all about how others see your shot, so I hope you do well. |

Rainbow in the leaves after the rain.by JLCComment: This is a different approach to this challenge and for that I applaude you.
I think that if you were able to shoot this again I would try to get a sharper image throughout your shot so the rainbow colour is tac sharp and not in a forground bokeh. Remember it is just my opinion. |

A Stroll Under The Rainbow by h2Comment: This works well in this challeng and I think it should do well. I like the contrast and the tones. You are drawn down the road with your subject. I would offer one thing for you to consider and that would be, instead of your subject standing facing you I feel that they should be in the act of walking down the road. It would hold up better in my opinion and give the actual flow to the shot. The placement of your subject is fine and the entire image is "TAC" sharp (f/11?) and overall this is very pleasing to the eye. Nice work. |

Vikingby GueDesignsComment: Viking, viking, viking... What about the vikins? The whole idea with a challenge like this (I think so anyway) is to draw the reader in. When you look through your local newspaper the headlines have about .5sec to grab you and make you want to read the story, so in this case you need to bring your "A" game. So something along the lines of " Vikings Promise New World Order" or "Long Forgotten Vikings Resurface as World Deals With History Now" or something to that effect. I hope this helps. Keep in mind that the title alone is no real reflection for how well your image will be recieved in a challenge under normal challenge submissions but in a challenge such as Photojournallism I think you need to use the title as the hook and your shot as the story. REMBER I'm only one opinion
Now onto the shot. The subject is "TAC" sharp and interesting this was a nice find for you. The colour conversion is spot on and the lighting is great. Sometimes lighting is hard even under advanced edit rules, but you did an awsome job here with Minimal and in Jpeg to boot. This must of been a fun event to attend. Anytime Vikings are involved you can count on action. Good luck this should do well based on the shot alone, but with an in your face headline you would have done better in my opinion. |

Batman Saves Woman From Explosion at Chemical Plantby JawnyRicoComment: Nice staged event. I like that you used B&W for this and didn't overdo the action. it is simple and it works. If I could offer one thing, that would be the use of the staires, you have an awsome location for this shot and I think that you could have had old bats carring her down the staires in a firemans carry. In my opinion it would of had more punch and when you think about the relationship that he has with the media, you as a reporter for the Gothum news paper would hardly catch old bat ears in such a static pose. Just me thiugh and not the end for this shot. I think you should do well with inspite of my take on things. Best of luck. |

#11 FedEx Chevrolet completes tech inspection at the Subway 500 at Martinsville Speedwayby DemonLlamaComment: Nice approach with this shot. A little to much light and slightly blown out in the back, but these things could have been fixed if the edit rules had been different. All in all the photo tells us a story and with the officials in it measuring the car it helps to further it along. There is a nice flow to your shot and the added movement of the lookers on works well for you. Nice capture sot the sports page. |

Ancient Computing Device Discovered in State Parkby arron_christensenComment: This is a nice idea and I think that it would do better if maybe you had set it up with a person or persons doing aa archaeological dig. Now I know that this is easier to set up but the shot could have been set up in a sandbox and cropped tight for effect. Archaeoloigests Unearth Ancient Computing Device in State Park. Just a thought:-} |
