Too soon, I should wait...by helderComment: Too soon to shoot the landscape without a car driving through your shot? It could be argued that you waited to long to release the shutter and during that hesitation car drove through your shot. Without the title this doesn't say much to be about the challenge them. Even with the title it seems to be belaboring it a bit. It's an interesting shot though. I like the red blur in contrast to the shiny wet street. |

Far too early to get out of bedby spart4cusComment: I wish there wasn't that weird thing that appears to be sticking out of the top of one of the posts because it distracts from an overall really nice shot. I would crop about an inch-and-a-half frame the right side of the frame and about an inch from the top to place the bird just at the edges of a upper and outermost thirds of the frame. I like the diagonal plane created by the sloping hill in the background. |

Too early for the fishermen... by doctornickComment: Very nice composition. I really like the wide angle view and the placement of the blue boat in the foreground. Very nice color. It actually looks pretty late in the day for fisherman unless they are night fishermen. Aren't fisherman usually at work before dawn? Without the title, I don't get a feeling of 'too early' from this. It's a tough call since it is such a nice photo, the best I've seen so far. |

embryo marriageby crayonComment: Funny idea. I don't think including the other eggs was necessary and they are a bit distracting. I don't get the choice of black and white for something like this. I would have placed the couple in egg cups and set them up on a harmoniously colored paper background with maybe a few egg attendents, a priest, or some family members. |

Too Early for His Savingsby TiberiusComment: This looks like a homeless person to me and not someone waiting to access an ATM which should be open all the time anyway. Am I supposed to think he is waiting for the bank to open? Perhaps it's a cultural difference but I just don't get it. In terms of photographic interest there is potential for a nice human interest or photojournalistic shot but while there is a certain amount of irony in what appears to be a displaced person resting outside a financial institution, the static surroundings are just too uninteresting to be hogging all the visual weight from the main subject. |

Before it melts...by KarendtComment: I'm not sure what this really says about being 'too early' for something. It seems to be stretching a point a bit. This is a difficult subject to photograph so you get points for that. I don't care for the long, narrow cropping at all. |

2000 years Before Christby FalcComment: A very nice shot and interesting subject matter. I'm not too sure about the title, it seems to belabor the point a bit. But this does have a mood of waiting that works for me in terms of the challenge. I like it quite a bit. |

Too Early to Catch a Sunriseby kingduck777Comment: Hmmmm....I think a tripod whould have helped immensely here. There is a great deal of camera shake which effectively ruins this shot. The comosition isn't bad although my choice would have been to lower the camera quite a bit to include more foreground, i.e, the road, which in combination with the poles would act as an interesting lead-in for the viewer (see the challenge Vanishing Point for some good examples of this--I believe it was from '04). As it is the blank, washed out sky dominates the frame in an uninteresting way. Definitely try this shot again using a tripod and keeping the idea of vanishing point and leading lines in your mind. |

I Could Just Burstby idnicComment: Not an easy set-up I'm guessing. I can't help wishing you had chosen a balloon that didn't have words on it. My eye keeps being drawn to the black lettering at the bottom. It disrupts the clean quality of the pure red and white. I think cropping the blade to eliminate the decorative element would have helped for the same reason. A really good effort though. |

Gotcha, Before Impactby tcocollinsComment: I don't know....from a photographic viewpoint it looks like you captured this just at the perfect moment with the flare and smoke of the gun blast. Even with the title, this really doesn't suggest 'too early' for me. It's an interesting capture but ultimately I'm not really engaged in the composition or subject matter. I'm bothered by the way his legs are cropped just below the knees. It creates an unbalanced feel. |
