unconditional loveby SeanachaiComment: The blue cast gives this a cold feeling I don't care for but it is a great tight capture of maternal love. |

Waiting for the Perfect Momentby Baron152Comment: This is a really interesting photo. I think it documents the film industry in a very cool way. They look like ants (in a good way...very busy). |

Shadow Flightby GrayGhostComment: This is eyecatching. I'm wondering if it wouldn't have been more effective without the crane. To me, the crane adds a confusing element to an otherwise harmonious pattern of converging lines. |

Sew Retroby RKTComment: An original choice of subject and I love the vintage patterns (I collect them myself). Unfortunately, this is way too shadowy to be really effective. |

Get ready for mashed potatoes!by ZigomarComment: Is this sepia tone? There is a yellowish cast that I don't like for this subject. This is a good choice for pattern (I tried a few shots with a colander myself but ultimately discarded them :D). I don't know if this shot says much to me about pattern. I think a tighter crop of just the mashing part would be more effective. |

Boardsby bbrightComment: I like the contrasty black and white. This is a nice crop, effectively isolating the pattern from any distracting elements. It's also a great subject. One of my favorites so far. |

Colour and formby pacpintoComment: Nice abstractions and texture. I wish there was more detail in shadow areas and I don't care for the glare on the upper left area of the frame. Also, it needs a bit more color saturation. |

Abstract shadowsby aartiprasadComment: A good idea. I wish you had shown it much bigger. You've wasted a lot of your pixel allotment on the ugly black border. |

Dane County, Wisconsin Courthouseby PhilXT350Comment: This is a pretty dull subject. I think what may have initially attracted you was the windows and the pattern they make. My suggestion is that a tighter crop of that area, in order to isolate the not-so-interesting stuff (like the modern concrete blocks and the lettering) would make a more interesting photograph. |

Cyclamen Leavesby MelethiaComment: This is a rather overexposed. I like the subject of the leaves. My suggestion is that a single leaf needs to fill the frame, rather than the whole plant, to really show off the pattern on the leaves. If the intent was to show the pattern the leaves make together than an more overhead angle of view is needed along with a much tighter crop to eliminate any other details (like the mulch and the wall, etc), |
