Flood Tide & Cattails — Sunset

Congratulations on your first blue, Robert. This was one of my favorites. The movement of the grasses gives adds another element to what would otherwise appear a perfectly serene image---it makes one realize that those clouds reflected in the water may have blown over in a few minutes or even a few seconds, capturing the feeling of how fleeting a beautiful sunrise can be.

This just looks like a snapshot. You should have gotten rid of the sheet or sock or whatever it is that is stuck between the cushions. Also, better to take shots of animals and kids more at their level. This reduces quite a bit of the point-and-shoot look that a snap shot has.

I think I'm seeing the photographer and flash reflected in everyone of this bearings. I would have liked this better lit from the side and without the reflections.

A little too much glare on the plastic. It looks like it was lit from above. I would light something like this from the side to bring out the texture of bubble wrap.

I like the subject and the image quality is very good. I'm not crazy about the sepia tone (unless this is an orange feather?) Now that I see the title, I'm thinking this is the color of the feather. On my monitor it looks more sepia than gold. I'm thinking this would have been a good choice for black and white, making it a study in line, shape, and tones.
