Elephantby tkjaerComment: Very nice. A bit darker and contrasty-er than I would like. I'd like to see it a bit lighter, especially, around its eye. Great cropping. |

Texture is Measured in Yearsby Canadian_ehComment: A very nice portrait of a lovely elderly woman. She reminds me a bit of my favorite Aunt (Clara). I notice her glasses have very little glare---difficult to achieve sometimes. What a nice smile she has. One wants to linger a bit at this photo. The directness and friendliness of her smile, the twinkle in her eyes draw you right in. |

Garlic and Onionby DeniseBernadetteComment: "Ooohhh...." was my first thought when this image popped up. It looks like something from a good cooking magazine. I'm not crazy about the handle in the upper part of the frame though. I love the warm natural-looking light. It gives the roots a nice glow and the textures a revealed nicely. |

White Coralby TooCoolComment: I like the crop and the subject. The exposure could be a little better. I'd like to see more of the shadow detail at the top. It looks a bit overexposed in that area. |

Becoming a ferretby moviemanComment: Really great capture and a terrific portait. Congrats on your high ranking.
What I want to know, is the ferret just yawning? This is what my rats look like when they yawn. Scary. :D |

"I wandered lonely as a cloud" -Wordsworthby posthumousComment: I didn't vote in this challenge and I only briefly perused them after the voting. This is lovely! It's so different from what I've seen you do so far. I really like the way you've placed the woman in the frame to really emphasise the vastness of her surroundings. I like the soft misty quality. Congrats on your first top five! |

[ a view ]by gocComment: With this sort of image I like to see everything in focus. The part that is in focus looks great. |

Capitol Nightsby MaverickComment: I think you should have cropped out the rail or veranda bit at the bottom. Very nice though. |
