Waiting for Dadby C_Steve_GComment: As a starting point, I'd give this photograph about a 6. Nicely composed, good detail, very well processed, and a sorta interesting subject. +1 for actually putting people on the bench. and +1 again for putting one of them in Giants gear. (If it was an A's hat I'd have to give you -1; a Dodger's hat would have been an automatic DQ :-).) Final score: 8 |

EstimatedEyesby KelliComment: Nicely done. I went back and forth with how much DeNoise to use and like where you ended up. The use of B+W filter was a good call. Thanks! |

Ready for Rainby skewsmeComment: Classic iconic image, could be anywhere. Reminds me of a farm in the mad river valley of Vermont. |

Urban forestby franktheyankComment: Love the surreal feeling of this, and a great tonal range. The cacophony of the clouds, branches and leaves, which can be distracting in many 2D images actually works very well here. |

toy story comes to lifeby jgirl57Comment: The idea was great but your focus point was off. Try shooting this again but focus on one or two of the guys in the foreground, closer to the lens, and let the flag and other guys go blurry. f/5 is a good place to start, but you could go down to f/3.5 or f/2.8 as well. Play around with how you set up the guys in the foreground (how close they are to the camera, whether you see all of them in the frame or just their head etc.) to see what you like. Another tip: watch your background! The guys you did focus on, up on the hill, get lost because they are the same color as the flag. If you would have used the green or yellow guys up there, they would have shown up much better. |
