Jackby TJComment: Nice eyes; I didn't like the soft focus the first time I saw this image, but on second viewing I like it a lot better, particularly with the sharpness in Jack's right eye. |

After the Rainby CharleneComment: Image is too small imho, and composition is off ... the white and the pink flowers compete for attention, and the pink petal at the top of the fram is distracting. Hard to do this kind of shot without a macro lens (which I'm guessing you don't have or didn't use for this one) |

future hall of famer?by whiterookComment: Not much more than a snapshot here, imho. Colors are washed out, the backs of the fans down front don't add anything to the image, and you can't see the batter's face, or even the ball. Move around to the third base sideline next time and get down lower so you capture the batter's face and the fans reaction, and you'll have something to sell on ebay after no. 11 makes it to the Hall of Fame! |

La Petite Filleby WarbyComment: I think you could have improved this image by opening up the aperture to blur the building in the background. The building competes with your subject for attention, particularly due to the closeness in colors (i.e., on the elephant and its canopy) and sharpness between the two. |

Great Grandmother's Japanese Mapleby betsybarron31Comment: Nice idea, but imho photo is too small and the tree trunk in the background interferes with the forms of the maple branches in the foreground. Maybe if you moved a bit to the right that tree trunk would disappear, or if you opened the f-stop up wide you could have blurred it out of existence. |

Jon Bon Jovi - Legendby all4uComment: It's an ok snapshot and a nice keepsake of the concert, but imho as a standalone photo its somewhat lacking, particularly in this challenge. You can barely see the performer's face, and the colors are kind of washed out. You might try cropping out some of the sky above his head, and cropping the shot at the elbow instead of the wrist to eliminate the distracting trees in the background. |

Innocenceby NowaytotellComment: Sorry, this just looked like a snapshot to me. Try getting lower, and shooting your subject from "dog level" -- lay down on the carpet and put your camera at the same level as the dog's head; you'll be amazed at the difference. |
