5 - Nosy Gorillaby ErikVComment: lol -- too funny. I like the soft focus on this one ... the gorilla blends into the background, and it almost looks like a painting. Quality is in the eye of the beholder. ;>P |

shelterby ordinaryangelComment: Interesting image here ... deep rich black tones, and nice detail bringing out the shadow of the umbrella on the floor. |

Saguaro and Doveby cogeroxComment: Nice tonal range, makes the cactus pop but still shows the dramatic background sky. Well done. |

Day 2 - Change of Seasonsby BudyaComment: nice composition and tones. Looks a tad soft in the upper third ... maybe you were shooting at a 45 degree angle to the ground? |

S o l i t u d eby JeffDayComment: Wow, Jeff, I really like this image. Great colors and composition. I don't see any excess noise here at all; what some call grain/noise I see as texture of the grasslands that enhances the feel of the image. My only nit is that I might have eliminated the red dirt triangle on the left by shooting from a slightly different location and/or cropping, but that's just an artistic choice that isn't mine to make. |

Starry, Starry Nightby Shadowi6Comment: Nice exposure of the nighttime sky and use of a flashlight to illuminate the far shore. I would have cropped off the bottom fourth of the picture, from about where that rock juts out to the lefthand shore, as there's not a lot of foreground interest there, and I think that detracts somewhat from the composition. |
