Midnightby APComment: The umber sky adds to the impact of this apparently out-of-place old bridge: nice contrast between the rural/bucolic bridge and the sodium glow of the city. |

Room With A Viewby debitiptonComment: Doesn't have great impact for me: I think perhaps that line of details - house and trees - is just too busy compared to the finely graduated near-blankness of the rest of the image. |

Pure Whiteby youngnovaComment: The translucency of the petals is well caught, but i think your lighting overall will let this down - there just isn't enough perceptible detail in the flowers. Difficult to light properly this, anyhow - but absolutely crucial to the effect that it should be. |

Broken Wheelby PhotologistComment: Details of the wheel are rather lost against the background of that cabin - too much similarity of light, and of tone. There's no great sense of the three-dimensional here either - very flat light doesn't help you. |

Sad Teddyby AtlantisComment: Now I really think your border - I hate commenting on borders because usually they're so much a matter of taste - I think it has a major impact on the viewing of this image. It makes it hard to concentrate on any detail of light and shade within the image, and this surely depends on that kind of detail for its effect. Those textures are already confused with the wall behind - not necessarily a bad thing, in fact even a positive, as far as being a different idea from so many images, but the big black block massively affects the eye in trying to see that detail. |

10 months oldby TJComment: Solid child portrait. What else to say? It's OK - technically fine. But that's all. |

Early Monday Morningby hotpastaComment: A decent image, but I struggle to find more in it than a simple depiction. The rowers add some interest to the lower part of frame visually, but that high-tech kind of racing boat doesn't make for any technological or environmental contrast with the cityscape, leaving the image perhaps too much of an ordinary moment for me. |

Radioactive Landscapeby indridistefansComment: The foreground rather lets this down I fear - seems to me just a featureless dull grey band across the image; A shame really, as this would be a fine landscape image - stars are always effective. |

The art of seductionby jjbeguinComment: Can't work out why this image isn't amongst my favourites list. It still makes me smile, even after the enormous number of times I've looked at it. |

Stories (At The Museum)by kdkaboomComment: Like this. The half and half composition might be a touch strong - given the complete absence of stuff in that black. I'm unsure about the figures in motion adding or detracting from the impact, too. I think perhaps they pull too much away from the stillness of the other figures. |
