Good detailing. bright and vibrant colours, not a bad moment of light to use, though perhaps touch too direct, something softer would perhaps have lessened the brightnedd of those lit areas without losing the texture. compositionally bland though - there's no process within frame of movement or anything to lead the eye.

Processing problems, I'd suggest - sharpening after adding the border? Fine detail is lacking, and the composition is rough and ready at best. Colours are bland - lacking vibrancy. A poor go, I'm afraid.

neat star-burst kind of effect. Intersting colouring, and the fraying of the ends of the hairs (?) is well demonstrated. Good feel to it too - Doesn't quite hold my interest for long though.

Very neat, well organised, good shooting. Excellent display of texture. Would perhaps like to see less stuff reflected in those drops - can I see arms holding diffusers there?Like the fade to white through the pic.

Good sense of the rough paint job, but compositionally weak and disorganised I'm afraid. Colour is good, but it seems an odd moment of light that you've chosen for this entry., doesn't seem to amphasise the texture at all.

Teeing Up

Excellently lit, really produces the texture, both the pits and the plasticity of the ball, and what appears to be a wooden tee. Very simple, though the areas of shading that really might appeal to me are quite small, and perhaps the shade too dark for a a wow factor - or too sudden maybe: constrained mid-tones.

Indeed, and nothing but texture, perhaps. Compositional rules pretty much go out the window with this kind of thing, but I feel to create a pleasing image from it there must be some sense of flow within the picture, ir a strong balance of elements, or some process going on. Here, whilst the illustration of texture is admirable, I find a very static image, with no one element to anchor the eye and let the attention, whilst tied, roam through the image. Exposure, colour, light is all excellently done, but some of the more artistic elements of a great photograph are absolutely missing.

An intersting presentation. Good on the wall, and the shadows there, but the actual 'fitting' itself drifting so far out of frame seems perverse. Ther is some impression of a kind of deep-space occlusion of light, bringing a sense of the enormity of space to a very humdrum thing, but perhaps I feel that I'm having to force that kind of analogy to emerge. Compositionally excellent though - shows a thorough understanding of the movement of the eye.

Very small image, and what detail there is seems diffused anyway. Possibly an interesting composition, but very difficult to see at this size, and from what i can make out seems to lack any great impression of texture either.
