Meant to leave a comment before the challenged ended, but just wanted you to know that this was one of my favorites. (Gave you a 9.) Just a great example of taking a common object and using it to create a beautiful photo.

Okay... whoah! This is an absolutely brilliant image. Please tell me that the snow is real and not an added effect. Coming back to bump this up now that the image has been validated. You have a great eye. Graining is subtle, but effective and enhances the mood. - 10

Definitely a dreamy image. Grain and toning work very well here. Focus and shallow DOF also work quite well. - 9

Really like this one, even though the graining is so subtle. (As an old film shooter, I would consider this to be a practically grainless image.) Scoring at a 9, but would probably have bumped to a 10 if there had been more detail in the man's face. - 9

Very cool shot. Don't generally like these "looking down the barrel of a gun" images, but this one just makes me realize that the others I've seen just weren't done very well. Focus and shallow DOF make the shot very dramatic and give the impression of being brought up short. Graining done well and adds to the overall effect. The shot has a cinematic feel to it. - 9

A wonderful portrait with an excellent use of grain. The textures of the light and grain the background is particularly pleasing, and the blown out highlights in the hair and on the shoulder are very effective. - 10

Very nice, dynamic shot. Graining adds to the feel of motion and the isolation of the subject. Well done - 10.

Like the toning and the subtle grain. Very desolate. Good "winter" shot. - 7
