Simplicityby Blue MoonComment: A strange composition of lines and circles, but that's not a bad thing. The dark area behind the nearest drop makes the line going up do the right thing. Looks like some camera shake in the details.
Good observation to see this, and to quickly and accurately capture it. |

From The Cameraby surfinbirdComment: This less saturated view looks more natural than the comp image.
Did you think about cropping it from just above the fence in the foreground then right at the far end of the pipe? Too bad you didn't reshoot this for the "Diagonal" challenge. |

Breathlessby BradComment: What you said, and PP makes it even better. The thumb just screams "Click Me," and the full size is a butt kicker! This one is going straight to faves.
The power line adds scale. Thanks for sharing! Message edited by author 2007-01-04 01:42:32. |

Trailingby xianartComment: Very evocative image! Sailing is joy in slow motion, and this is one of the things that you see often when cruising. Good sky and light for the intended effect in this one.
Thanks for the happy reminder. |

what does this button do?by boysetsfireComment: You seem to have the knack for getting the most off the wall things to become very catchy images.
I can see that you keep your camera handy for this kind of thing. |

Goldenby jaxedComment: This kind of grass grows where I live too, and it is difficult to get levels right for sky and ground with it, as you have posted. You may be able to get it right out of the box with a gradient filter on the camera when shooting. It's one of the most useful things to have in your outdoor kit.
You have many outstanding photos of people in your portfolio. You're good at seeing, or arranging, and then capturing the right moment. |

Boston 1-2-07-19-640 ( Cambridge at Night )by krglComment: I like this night scape. The old bridge in the foreground, and the water make it a comfortable blend of old and new building styles. I see that you used a long exposure, as the auto lights suggest. It's very nice how some of the buildings seem to be glowing in this image too.
It would be helpful to others wanting to learn how to shoot this type scene, for you to post the info about camera settings. |

Johnson's Canyon Lower Fallsby PhotoDaveComment: I like the jumble of angular rock, and that the fall has a kink also to match. This is a good view of a very pleasant looking place. I don't see how the image could be improved, except possibly to wait for different light and shoot another from the same position. It would not be better, it would be just a different looking image. |

Gator-with-Flower-01.jpgby idnicComment: These things are only dangerous for a couple of seconds every week or two, but you never know which couple of seconds it will be.
I really like the flower, and even more, the duckweed "whiskers!" Just too funny!
It's just another of your usual fare of killer images. |
