Sunset on the Riverby AliciaComment: I love it when the air gets very still late in the evening, and you can hear distant thunder from the clouds like this. Nicely presented. The reflections make the shot for me. |

Soul Treeby EnlightenedComment: I was wondering where they get shoes, now I see that they grow on trees. : )
This is an interesting find. |

Lady Hawkby KelliComment: I never noticed that hawks have little eyelashes. Huey, my amazon has the little knob in it's nostril like this. I think that it must be to keep bugs or the like from plugging the nostril. That's a very sharp and detailed photo. |

DSC_5481by SEGComment: It seems that you found a 40's or 50' era grocery store or ice house. This looks like early model refrigeration equipment. You photographed it and edited it nicely. The only thing that I can see that detracts from the shot is the plastic water bottle in the barrel bung. You may not have seen that when you were shooting. The scene has sort of a movie set look to it. |

Phone Homeby PennyStreetComment: Cool find, a flashback to the 60's! The dents in the perf-plate are like little tokens of past conversations that did not go well, or times that it swallowed the quarters and didn't complete the calls.
Nicely photographed too, with the B&W giving it the right mood for the era. |

Jul 31 - Shopping timeby hajekaComment: I got the song connection too. I wonder if that's a reflection in the sign, and also wonder if that's a temporary roof over the place. lt's a good snapshot, with lots to see in it. |

Contemplating the Subwayby PennyStreetComment: That's a very good mix of subjects. The art work looks like some of the WPA art from the 30's, with the modern girl studying it. |

Forgotten Windowsby myceliumComment: I find it interesting that in every 7th layer, the bricks were turned the opposite way, 90 degrees to the previous layer.
The tones of grey make this look almost like a B&W shot except for the few red brick. I wonder how it would look if you did a selective desat, and kicked the red up a lot, or even go to all B&W or sepia. |

the unlovedby nivlekComment: Wow, that's a real " fixer-upper" in the foreground. It's always sad when someone's dream boat is finally overcome by the elements and scavengers. |

Crossingby KelliComment: Those are powerful animals. It takes a lot of cash to keep them in this nice of a setting and well fed. I like the snowy border for this. |
