A Tiger In My Bouquetby GallatinComment: Ok - minor details: you clipped 4 of the 6 tips and you can\'t see the other 2. I want to see this whole flower. The actual shot is amazing and the colors, lighting are excellent - I don\'t like the shadows on the petal, but where to put them...*shrug* Great shot. 9 |

Gin and Tonicby pinbackComment: I'm finding it hard to critique a shot I gave a 9, but what if the background under the subject was a bit different? Brighter? Outdoors-y? Like the drink was served at a bbq or something...this is great, but it doesn't tell me anything - no story. |

Sheer Concentrationby SwashbucklerComment: Cats, babies, flowers and sunsets - the four hardest things to shoot because it's been done to death. I love LOVE the tongue sticking out and the intent look in the cat's eyes. I don't like the reflection - it's very distracting. Very nice looking cat and picture. Tough subject - 9. |

letter from jimby johnny_justjohnnyComment: Touching photo - nice detail on the hand...I'd rather see the rest of the thumb and not have bitsNpieces cut off. Also, the natural lighting is a good idea, but I think it should have been placed so as not to give such a reflection on the envelope. |

Alien eggsby p_johnsComment: Interesting lighting - but seems a bit overdone. The light on the near ...egg... is too much and the lighting on the rest seems too little. Great focus on the near egg, though. |

Leopard Bananasby GekkerComment: Interesting lighting - coming from the bottom up.
Slightly uninteresting subject - maybe if more of the banana was in the pic? Or the lighting on top was better?
I don't know if a banana is a great subject to take a 'macro' of, because you can't include the whole banana, etc. |

In-Door Macroby GeneralEComment: Poor focus - does your camera actually have a macro mode? The subject is only somewhat interesting, but it looks fairly new to be that damaged - did you get broken into? It's clever, but... |

Night at the Operaby crabappl3Comment: I like the picture on first glance. The purple background, especially that it's not perfectly flat - make this picture stand out everytime I come back to look at this week's entries. The dark spot in the lower left is a bit distracting, but otherwise I love it. 9 |

Morning Butterflyby AntithesisComment: Excellent colors and focus. I don't know what's on the right, but I don't like it at all. I would have either put more of it in or cropped it completely. 9 |
