Northumberlandby howzaComment: There are a lot of distracting elements in this photo - the reflection in the near water, the crappy land in the middle, the trees before the color...Is color really a central and tying idea to this pic or is it just a pic with good colors in it? Just my 2c. :) Keep shooting! |

The Magic Wheelby GeocideComment: Interesting idea and pattern. I think overall the colors are a bit darker than I'd like, especially along the edges. The holder is also necessary BUT distracting. |

Colorful Bloomby cykhansenComment: Damn Damn Damn! I'm not sure how much control you had over this shot, but that flower is PERFECT. I wish the bg was one solid color - a studio shot of some kind - for a flower this beautiful. The colors are amazing and this would truly be one of my faves of the week if the bg wasn't so discombobulated. |

Pinkby BAMartinComment: Excellent choice of color. I like the focus and the detail is clear. One of the better flower pics this week. (Different color from typical choices too - good). I want to move in on these just a hair - see what's going on even more... but great job. 8 |

A Colourful Snackby jimmythefishComment: Thought I left a comment already on this one, but I guess not.
The details are amazing - looking at the hair under the fly and on its legs. The center of the flower is in focus as well - all of which is superb. Nice job throwing the background out of focus - I love this shot. 8 |

Temple of Irisby falveyComment: I love the apparent 'door' on the temple and even the walkway. As nice as the color is, I think the yellow on the right is distracting and takes my eyes away from the center. I like the focus but just for kicks - what if they were reversed and the 'path' was clear, while the temple was blurry because it's farther away? |

Spring Tonesby jjbeguinComment: This is one of the best 'flower' shots of the week. I like the dark green and the way it's not cropped tightly left and top. I wish the right wasn't cropped off (petals). |

What better colors?by STEINRComment: What better colors... a slightly bluer, less cloudy sky? Good capture, though. I like the feel...the direction seems backwards...weird. 8 |

Fire at Nightby jdw91479Comment: Extraordinary capture of the colors. I wonder what this would be like if we could see a bit of the fire's origins, but I like it this way as well. The camera captured SO many shades (especially in the top center). Love it. 8 |

Purple Peepersby dphillipsComment: I like the green egg as using color to compose the shot. However, the closest peep is overexposed and the egg isn't near the center of the shot - so it's hard to figure out what is going on - why are there three? What if you did the same thing with the two ducks (mother and father?) looking over one green egg, like "why is it GREEN?" THAT is a colorful composition! :) |
