I am sure that I have seen this shot before, but even if I have then it is still wonderous and has lost none of its ability to stop you in your tracks and go wow - 10

Sometimes it is very hard to capture the intrinsic beauty of a building as magnificent as the Taj Mahal, especially when it has been photographed so many times before...However you succeed on both counts. I love the use of sepia which has both created a wonderful sense of age about this shot and also flies in the face of tradition images that try to convey exactly how white the building is

Seems slightly (and I mean slightly) blown just to the right of the main dome, but still a wonderful 9

Stunning action photograph. Wonderful sharpness and tremendous plumes of soil. Shame that the tip of the rear wheel is missing, but what can you do...Hardly something that you can say, "Sorry can you do that again for me"

Timing may be everything but you also need the skill to be able to capture this sort of opportunity when it arises....And you have certainly got that - 9

Deb a lovely shot which whilst being full of rich autumnal colours brings to mind the feeling of a late summer afternoon. Beautifully tranquil, which knowing were it was taken adds a different take on many peoples perspectives of the area

Glad you are home safe and sound

Beautiful range of earth colours here which make the picture look really autumnal. The rickety bridge is cool (I bet that a troll lives under it) and I like the fact that on the left side of it there is virtually no reflections yet on the right there is a cool sharp one of the tree.

Nice shot and all the better for being one you like

Lisa, your family is doubly blessed, firstly in having a daughter as beautiful as this and secondly in her having a mother who can capture this beauty so wonderfully

Another lovely portrait, super composition, dof and sharpness and I love the complimentary colours of glasses and her top.

I am glad that she is so good with her glasses as a fellow spectacle wearer i can empathise with the fact that they can be a nuisance but remind her that it is only great works of art that get framed not the everyday

Lovely diagonal corner framing in this shot and a fantastic job of catching the loyalty and devotion of the dog towards its owner (which is clearly reciprocated) in just one eye

Great sharpness and the bokeh works well. I dont know if you have the expression in the States but in England we say that people begin to look like their pets and given this the comparison between the beard and the grey hairs on the muzzle made me smile

As Michelle mentioned I like the fact that this was a picture in its own right that included someone wearing glasses rather than a picture of glasses which someone happened to be wearing

Peter, I meant to comment on this shot during the challenge but with the new job I am afraid my DPC time has been somewhat restricted. I thought this was a super portrait (and of course I did recognise you straight away). Great expression too.

Your doing a great job with your new lighting rig as well love the way your face is framed to the left and right by blackness, very effective, especially as your hair and sweater provide top/bottom framing as well

As ever sharpness, colour and dof are spot on. Super shot

I recognised your boy straight away...and as you said way better without the mohawk.

I thought this was a lovely shot, especially liked the tilt of the head which contrasted against the zip of his top (great colours by the way). Super sharp too. Being a glasses wearer it was the fogging of the lens by the nose that made me laugh though...man we have all been there

Well unlike some commentators I love the real sharpness on the book and the way the face is slightly softer.

Lovely composition as well

Outstanding B&W conversion especially given that this was a basic challenge and so optikverve was a no no

As for the title well as a man, I know my place so will not comment although I do have to say that I don't think I am iggnerant ignawrant stoopid

Congrats on improving your average and for a nice finish in the challenge
