Great Shot Alessandro and congrats on the blue!! |
If such were obvious, I'd say the same thing. In this case the railing gives the whole thing away. |
The camera is still "panning" in one direction...and for those who say the subject isn't moving...go spin on a merry-go-round for an hour ;-) |
Well, the one thing that's true about DPC : Appealing to the voters is far more important than meeting the terms of the challenge. |
I definitely disagree with you there; a great photo that doesn't meet the challenge won't do all that well in votes...in this case we had both a great photo AND one that met the challenge..it was both creative and well executed... and the voters spoke with giving it a blue ribbon...can't ask for more than that. |

5 p.m. - Tea time! by Alex_PetriniComment: Firstly congrats Alessandro...a definitely deserved blue!!
In my book it's definitely motion panning...just because it's on a Tripod and on the merry-go-round doesn't mean it isn't. The camera is still following the subject. If the camera was connected to a vehicle and followed a runner...nobody would say anything...there is no difference. Well done Alessandro...great example! |
