Old Glass..by thrumyiisComment: Not much to add to what ursula has said...
I wonder about the choice of angle of the shot. Most still life shots that seem to work great are more 'horizontal' in structure rather than at a downward angle like this. |

2013 PAW - Week 1by MarkBComment: Bright and cheerful.
The angle and size of the light source on the rind appears to generate too much shine and we lose a lot of great detail.

behind glassby daisydavidComment: I love Zarlie! She is so photogenic.
The focus is killer on her snout and I love how her ears are almost a double exposure |

Photo 1 2013by Joshua_Comment: Wonderful conversion. The sky appears to be swirling above - clearly the winning portion of the shot.
I wonder if moving the cabin from dead center and placing it more to the left so that the lines in the ground highlighted by the snow could lead us into the scene |

What do you want?by EnlightenedComment: he looks like he is smiling at you. the focus appears to be on the bark and not on the squirrel. What focus settings did you use for this? It almost looks like you used Auto AF area or Dynamic Area AF instead of single point AF. For zoom work like this, I have found that the single point AF works best. |
