i saw the thumb and thought this was another nice macro of a rose - but you really did a nice job 'kicking it up a notch' with the result - high grain and strong contrast - well done to go outside the box a little

I read your comment about the photo taking for b/w - even though you may not be doing it the way you want, the images you have been uploading are really very solid. I especially like the higher key treatment of this image - this works very well for this beautiful little girl - the blown out hair works here and you have really caught some captivating eyes

the leading lines and composition are really good on this one - but there is something about the focus that doesn't completely work for me - maybe it is that the table and table base in front dont seems quite sharp enough

beautiful image - i really like the contrast of the dark land and the lightness of the ocean. The placement of the birds flying into the image and the birds on the rool of the outbuilding add just enough interest to make this really work.
