Tiger Swallowtailby MaryOComment: What an absolutely stunning butterfly. It makes me want to go out and try my hand with the frittilaries that are chowing down on the passion flowers in my yard. |

Griffin Editedby TCGuruComment: Great! You started with a really nice shot, and made it beautiful. I especially like the eyes. They show up nicely without looking unnatural. |

IMG_2948OR-played-with.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Nice! The colors and contrast are a big improvement. It might be a bit sharp. I'm no sharpening genius, but on something like this, you might try sharpening it, then fade it to about 80%, to fade the halos and speckles a bit. |

day4_after.jpgby loveComment: Good job getting the middle eastern look, out of someone who is definitely not middle eastern. Overall, it's very nice. I don't really like how the texture and color of the scarf blend into the wall behind her. I played with the original for a bit, and decided it's a very hard fix in basic editing, because the wall and scarf are so close to the same color. One thing you can do during the shoot, especially if you know you're going to B&W is to use a different colored scarf. In this case, a blue scarf would make it possible to adjust the brightness of the wall and scarf independently. |

Day3-after.jpgby JakerComment: I like what you've done, it's a vast improvement over the original. I like the detail you've brougt into the wood, and the brick on the right side. The shadows may be a little too dark, you've lost a lot of detail in the dark areas. |
