NE-to-Utah-mountain. Week 1by seeComment: Getting there. You have all 10 zones, and lots of detail. I tend to prefer a dark sky, but you may not. That's a personal preference thing. |

St. Paul Re-Editby ElaineComment: This is a better edit. Not so artificially colorful. It looks like you might have taken the sky farther than where it's capable of going. Call it "the curse of the grey, featureless sky," and it's the main reason you won't see many landscapes from me. |

2014 Photo a week. #1: Dusk at Allen Harborby PenelopeKComment: The top half is a fairly ordinary photo, but then the painterly bottom half transforms it into something completely different, almost alien. What happens if you take more off the top? Does the balance get better or worse? (I'm asking, I don't have an answer.) |
