The Beat Goes Onby ShannonLeeComment: The Beat goes on, lol. Great title!! Is that Jack Kerouac in the background, lol. Okay nice shot, but for me a bit more space at the top and maybe a bit less at the bottom would be better, JMO. 7 |

Bridging Night.......by NikonJebComment: Jeb, another very cool shot, I really love the gradual darkening from left to right...if I had taken this the highlights would be blown and the shadows would be without feature, lol. Seriously, very nice and the DOF is very good!! Also, I really like the fact that the arch in the foreground bridge almost perfectly frames two archs in the background bridge, very nice composition. Way to go!! |

DSC_5787.jpgby griz210Comment: WOW, now thats a lens...it probably cost more than my car, lol. other than the hand (which I know it's about impossible to get a truly clear shot in a situation like a Zoo or other public place as I like to take pictures at car shows) this is very nice. Great shot!!! |

DSC_5726.jpgby griz210Comment: This is SO AWESOME!!! I LOVE the look on this cat's face (Cheetah?) as you may have noticed I am not a National Geographic photographer, LOL. The detail, the blurred background, the centered comp. all work VERY well to show off this amazing animal!! GREAT SHOT, way to go!! |

Train 2by WriteHeartComment: Originally posted by digitalknight: when you learn photoshop - remember this...
Do something you think looks cool - then back it off to 30% of what you thought looked cool. Then your in the "zone" where your PS becomes invisible, but your shots start looking amazing.
Lay jackal's over yours, and set jackal's to 30% opacity and you'll see what I mean.
After using PS for 13 years, I discovered shadow/highlight. And completely over used it - forgot my own rule of 30% - now I have a whole month's worth of photos to reprocess! :-p
Good luck, I think you'll find that any time spent learning PS will come back to you 10 fold. Just remember subtlety on subtlety makes very cool photos. |
Very good rule of thumb, after going back I def. agree my version is overcooked and the layer idea is great thanks!! |

Blinding, Binding, and Blueby colorcarnivalComment: Cool shot, for my taste I would rather it be just white black and blue, the pinkish hues on the clouds kinda detract from it for me, in levels you can hit the pull down and select red then desaturate until they disappear. I think this is legal in basic, anyway just a thought. Nice shot though and love the blue in this! |
