I like this image, but I'm not sure how well it suits (no pun intended) the nude challenge. The harsh lighting is very effective as is the mysterious single eyed reflection.

Strange idea, the fingers over the eyes, but i find it interesting. I don't care for the drab background. I would have prefferred solid white or black, or something even more interesting, which would have been possible giving the open editing rules of this challenge.

not sure i like the way the nipple is peeking out, it looks too placed and unnatural. Otherwise a very nice image. Like the black and white as contrasted by the color.

Critique Club:

Hey, funny I should get this for the critique club after already corresponding with you about it. As you already know, I liked this shot alot. I also think you already know what's good and what's bad about your photo.

This shot is great in terms of tone and focus (in my opinion, obviously not everyones) but lacking in terms of composition and lighting, which were both out of your control. I think you did a nice job of minimizing the blown out highlights of the sun behind the trees. I didn't find it that distracting, but it would surely be better without them. I actually find the highlight on the horses nose (not sure what a horses nose is called :) interesting because I think it is a white marking, but I'm not sure. I think it is an interesting, even if unintended, effect of drawing the eye there.

All in all, it's a damn shame that the horses didn't want to cooperate and pose professionally for and that you can't jump over fences and move other people's horses. I think this is a beautiful photo and you should be very proud of how it came out given the circumstances.

Hey! You are the proud recepient of my "you got screwed" after-challenge comment. This fine award goes to the lowest scoring image that I gave an 8 or higher in the competition. Keep up the good work and don't let your score get you down. Your black and white spot edited version was awesome by the way, I would have given it a 10.

Adding this to my favorites. I was one of your tens and this was one of my favorite photos of the challenge. This would have done much better in a different challenge. Geez, remind me to go to Iceland someday soon...
