Gimme Some Candyby patio127Comment: This is nice! I like that you converted it to black and white - it has just the right amount of highlights and shadows. Perfect!
I don't really understand why pet images are voted down, either. My theory, however is this: A lot of new users here may not really know exactly what to shoot. Then, "oh, my kitty cat!" and so they enter a shot that's not really all that great. So, perhaps the voters have seen so many not very good pet photos, they just autimatically give you a bad vote and move on without really looking at the photo. :( I've had that same problem... Photos of my cat that I REALLY liked were give an average or below average score.
Anyways, nice shot! |

blue eyeby k4ffyComment: Okay, now I'm really lost. A picture of the London eyes gets a ribbon. Then this one (which maybe isn't AS good, but is still pretty good!) gets attacked for being 'unoriginal.' It's so confusing... I absolutely do not understand the voters. :) Oh well. This is a beautiful picture. I am always a sucker for blue lights!
I also love the way the path glows with the lights! Message edited by author 2007-04-18 13:48:31. |

Trying to Hideby CharleneComment: I like the yellow hair against the beautiful green eye - a nice image! The only thing I might suggest doing differently is trying to get the camera to focus on the eye. Otherwise, this is a nice shot - I like the brightness of it! |

Unleashedby escapetoozComment: I was almost tempted to say that these images need a little brightening up.... but I think I actually like them a little dark like this. The desaturated grays and browns are kind of cool. The lighting is utterly stunning; the focus superb. Excellent shots! |

Hair = Youby ClarabirdComment: I looks like either this needs more contrast, or maybe the white-ballance was off. There really isn't anything WHITE in this image - making it feel rather dull and unnatural. But I like the composition a lot... it's very bold and creative! :) |

Not the Usual Hair-Doby daboardergirlComment: Now that is freaky! :) I immediately knew something was wrong, and then I slowly realized the head was on backwards! I love it! However, I think that a lot of the impact of this image is sort of lost by the grey border (at least for me). I would love to see what this would like like with a slightly smaller, black border, or simply no border at all. But it's a very interesting, unusual, and creative image! |
