I'm enjoying the lovely clear light in this. Likewise, I love the texture--better than hair, or a head-scarf, or a hat--it's like she has her head in the clouds. Also I like the way the Golden Girl is making eye contact with the camera. Well done!

I remember trying to get a good clean shot of a butterfly. I couldn't figure out how other photographers got such good shots & I couldn't. I started reading up on it. I was horrified to discover that the good clean shots are achieved by placing the butterfly in the refrigerator for a while, before taking it to a controlled environment for the shot. The cold makes them slow down. Or, sometimes the butterfly is dead. After that, I didn't feel so bad about my less than perfect butterfly shots. Then I got interested in motion-blurred butterfly shots.

I discovered that blurred butterfly shots are not easy to get, either! I am lucky to live near a big butterfly house, which gave me many opportunities.

This is a very good shot, considering you captured it in the wild. It's a beautiful moth. You have many good shots in your portfolio & many opportunities with your rescued friends. Don't give up!

Snickers has eyes like jewels. I hope you take more pictures of her with your new lens. You got a good score, I think you can get a better one. Good luck!
