Yeah, I noticed the same thing. It's probably because, you know, most people smile in portaits! |
Could be a sinful, debauched smile maybe? :) |

e n t r a n c i n gby HaneckComment: Beautiful image! The shade of blue is very striking, and really works well with the selective desat. |

Another Sleepless Nightby bdennyComment: There's something nice and moody about this shot - it does seem to capture that frustrating, trapped feeling of insomnia (agh, can't sleep, grr, don't know what to do with myself, I'll try and close my eyes, nope, not working, argh!).
And I'm totally in favour of aesthetically pleasing male nudity :) |

Third Time's the Charmby bdennyComment: Very emotive picture. I love the silhouettes! There's a lot happening in the background too - I particularly like the fountain :) |

designing perfect livesby bdennyComment: Heh, what a cool idea :)
This is only marginally related, but I just read an article saying that the company which produces Prozac got a license to sell it as dog medicine, to treat 'separation anxiety' which occurs if the owners leave their pets by themselves for a long time. :) It's a strange world we live in. |

The Picture of Dorian Grayby bdennyComment: My friend, you seem to be doomed to complex, misunderstood references.
I love the idea. The moody, slightly neurotic look (with the cigarettes added) is very much in keeping with your original source of inspiration. The grain and soft focus really add to it, and the light is just right too. And the selective desat is spot on for illustrating the concept. Mr Wilde would've been proud :)

Mea Culpaby RKTComment: What a good concept! I did have to Google the title to find out what it means though, so anyone speed-voting might just flick past this. |
