Bleak Novemberby Bear_MusicComment: Wow, such gorgeous colours :)
I knew your name would have to be in the top 20 for this challenge. |

Duotones Outtakeby posthumousComment: The colour of the sky seems a tad blinding. And the house is even more personified in this picture than in the other one. I swear it's looking into the distance! |

Duotones Outtakeby posthumousComment: I prefer the other outtake. This one has more texture, but I don't particularly like the composition. |

Duotones Outtakeby posthumousComment: The paint is interesting, and I swear those top 3 windows look like a face. However, there doesn't really seem to be a big enough variation of light and shadow to really make the duotone interesting. |

a kind of blissby posthumousComment: Eek. That manic grin has a certain crazed, satanic quality to it, and the red light doesn't help. Terrifying. |

Literary Outtake 3by posthumousComment: That fence is really cool. And the tree silhouettes work well. Though I'd really like to see the person about 3 steps back so that they seem to be travelling into the picture rather than already reaching their destination. |

Color Studio Portrait outtakeby posthumousComment: This would probably crash and burn in a challenge because of the background, but the portrait is very engaging, and the facial expression is just fantastic. |

literary originalby posthumousComment: I spent the last 5 mins flicking between the two and trying to convince myself that it is indeed the same picture.
I like the nice mist around the houses, which is missing in the final version. However, the addition of a dramatic sky in the final one is what really pulls it off. I actually really quite like both, but they're so different. A testiment to the power of post-processing. |

Departureby posthumousComment: Hehe, I like that bit of Central park. There's something nice and mysterious about people disappearing off into darkness.
