Paperclipsby sagestudioComment: Very orginal idea, I like it just the focus appears to have gotten soft near the bottome of the paperclip necklace. |

The House Specialby juliapersonComment: *Critique Club*
This shot has a lot of potential if all the little minor things are corrected. Cropping in tighter will get rid of the reflections on the wall from the bottles, take a little more time and make sure your focus is sharp and clear, it seems a bit soft but might even be correctable using an unsharpening mask in post editing also I am thinking you may have taken this in low light and a tripod can also help with the focusing. Also when taking something like this make sure you get all specks of dirt off the surface there are two black spots in the image that probably can be wiped away.
As for meeting the challege it doesn't really say Home Sweet Home it says wine cellar to me. Take your time and work on focusing, also if you need help correcting minor things in post editing just ask, cause most of the problems in your image are easily corrected with Photoshop or PaintShopPro.
Keep practicing and don't be afraid to experiment, welcome to DPChallenge also =o) wish my first entry would have scored as well as yours did.

My own meadowby KINGComment: *Critique Club*
Very nice image, has a nice relaxing feeling to it, the lazy days of summer. I'm not sure what your main focus was on but most everything seems to be in realatively good focus. I can even make out the buttercups at the bottom of the photo.
You may have wanted to try to add more blue to the sky for feeling cause as it is now, its cloudy but there are traces of depth in the clouds just seems to need a tinge more blue to it.
It is a very nice image all you need are some animals or a child in close view to add more interest to the composition. It does meet the challenge cause it makes you think of living in the country, nice interuptation on the challenge.

Home Wallby tyrkinnComment: *Critique Club*
The color and contrast of the painting and wall are good. Your focus appears to be pretty good too.
You have two problems with the entire image. First being the lighting glare, it left a big white spot that distracts from the painting itself. Secondly the big emptiness of the image There is nothing in the bottom half to look at. A floral arrangement on a table or a chair added to the left side of the image would have added something to it and balanced it out somewhat so you would be looking at something on the bottom instead of emptiness.
It does say Home to me so with that in mind it meets the challenge.

The Gardenby GinaRothfelsComment: *Critique Club*
Very bright and vibrant colors. Your focus and dof are both very good. The texture of the leaves and roof are really well defined.
The only two things I find distracting in the photo first is the shadows on the house just appear overly processed cause of the graininess of them. Secondly the light coming through the middle of the tree is excessive. Possibly a different time of day or an overcast day would prevent that.
Overall it is a very appealling image. Keep up the good work.

My Home Townby draney4Comment: *Critique Club*
Intriging image in so much as it make the viewer wonder how did that happen. The red jacket grabs the eye and makes you look at the man, then the motion makes you look at the bird so overall the photo holds your attention.
I would like to see either the man or the bird in better focus rather than the grass between the two. But overall the composition does get your attention and hold it and yes the title fits well cause it reminds me of a couple walking in a park near home. Nicely done

My way homeby puppy52Comment: "Critique Club"
Interesting image for Home Sweet Home. It really doesn't say much for the challenge and yet at the same time it says hey this is my house number.
The color is good, focus seems pretty good, the angle makes it interesting the thing that takes from it first is the first impression of what is 612? Also the lighting around it makes for a bit of distraction. It is though a very orginal interuptation on the challenge and I think that makes it good. =o)

Mommy is coming Home !by melissartsComment: *Critique Club*
This definately says Home Sweet Home, its the welcoming committee. The composition and the entire idea are very good and there is a warm feeling about the entire image.
You can improve on the image by either setting your sharpness on your camera or using an unsharpening mask. The focus is just to soft. The one thing I don't really like is the way there is almost a halo effect around the dogs nose, possibly caused by to much light.
Your idea is good as is the composition just work a little on the focus and you will have a winner.

Sweet Home Sweet Homeby mattsComment: *Critique Club*
Great start for your first entry =o) I simply adore this photo as I said during the voting its a 10 from me, but then I am very partial to the sentimental types.
Your focus and dof are really good. The little girl is in good focus while the bear is slightly softer. The only thing I might change about the whole image is a little lighter, the little girl especially appears to be too dark, based on skintones.
I believe it does say Home Sweet Home in such a soft delicate way, well done and welcome to DPChallenge. I'll be looking forward to seeing more images like this in the near future from you =o)

Home is where the hearth is.by BeetleComment: *Critique Club*
Nice fireplace that is for sure. There is a definate warmth to the entire image, the photo is also in very good focus and the dof used for it works well. Personally I liked the image when I first saw it and still do although I will agree with you about the reflections being there. They do leave a slight distraction to the overall image although not a major distraction. The one thing that really bugs me is how the center flame appears to blend right in with the wall in your bathroom and creates a mushroom like cloud, its not obvious at first glance but as you look at it you notice it.
The image does portray Home Sweet Home very well and the overall composition is really good, I liked your idea here very well it is a wonderful Home Sweet Home image.
